All vehicle rentals in Widnes are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive at the time of booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. This agreement outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, applicable charges, and your responsibilities for the rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:

4. Car Pickup and Drop-off

Insurance and Liability Terms

Additional insurance options may be available to limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options closely. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount, except where additional insurance is in place. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violations of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on your booking type and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited vehicle uses:
- The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities, such as racing or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Vehicles should only be used for their intended purpose, and weight or passenger limits must not be exceeded. Driving outside the agreed geographical area requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Widnes will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the rental within the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent actions.

These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the relevant courts in this region.
